Parents as Teachers

Parents are their children’s first and most influential teachers. The early years of a child’s life are critical for optimal development and provide the foundation for success in school and life

OUR GOALS

  • Increase parent knowledge of early childhood development and improve parenting practices.
  • Provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues.
  • Prevent child abuse and neglect.
  • Increase children’s school readiness and school success.
* Please call the Birth-to-Five office if you are interested in enrolling. To assist us in making a solid connection with families, we ask that children be enrolled prior to their third birthday.

* Group Events are open to anyone in Wayne County, these gatherings provide opportunities for social interaction for child and adult.
